I started my work life as a high school dropout, by working for a year in several low paying jobs before entering the USAF. After serving, I finally woke up and began to reverse the situation. It took me ten years of working two jobs and going to college nights to finally achieve what I am today, which is a biological oceanographer and electron microscopist. I have a B.A. in cellular molecular biology and an M.S. in electron microscopy. I also have two years toward a PhD in fisheries pathobiology. I have worked as a field researcher, during the time that I was employed in teaching various levels of marine and anatomical sciences at the University of Connecticut, and several community colleges as an adjunct professor. I was also later employed as an assistant professor of science at Tunxis Community College in Farmington Connecticut. I am presently employed as a science teacher at South Fork High School in Stuart Florida. I also have been a journeyman mason and steel worker, fished the Grand Banks, and owned several businesses, one of which is now an international quality control laboratory. My current business is making custom mounts for motorcycle electronics, in addition of course, to my busy teaching schedule.

I want my students to develop a good work ethic and a deep sense of personal honor. I also try to help them understand that you must put100% into everything you do. You can't settle for less than the best you have. The world of work is not an easy place to excell in, and there is always someone ready to take over if you faulter. Never aim low, always strive to be the best you can be!
