I have taught in Washington County, Virginia for 29 years. I started in kindergarten at Greendale Elementary; then I taught second grade at E.B. Stanley Elementary (that was before it became a middle school); then I taught second and fourth at Abingdon Elementary School. Finally, I taught third grade at Greendale Elementary School until getting a second master's degree as a reading specialist. I have been the reading specialist at Greendale and High Point Elementary Schools for the past 6 years. I plan to retire from teaching in 5 years.
