Hello and welcome to my webite! My name is Mr. Reagle and I am honored to be teaching chemistry for Martin County High School. I am currently in my 3rd year of teaching (1st year in Martin County) but I am always looking for new innovative ideas to better assist students needs on an individual basis, such as creating this website.
As for my background, I am originally from the Pittsburgh area as I attended Rocky Grove High School (2002 graduate) and the University of Pittsburgh (2007 graduate) with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, I received the Valspar Award for my performance in Organic I and II courses and a Smart Grant for being a Science Major with a GPA above a 3.0. Other than just being a student, I was also a Undergraduate teaching assistant for 2 semesters in Organic I Lab, and a tutor for General Chemistry I and II. My main research aspirations at the University involved organic synthesis and analytical separation techniques using HPLC-MS and GC-MS.
As for hobbies I do like to play golf, tennis, basketball, and watch comedy movies. I'm a big follower of the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh Men's Basketball Program.
I currently have a twin brother in his final year of Physical Therapy School at Washington University - St. Louis, and sister who gradated with an Arts Degree from Point Park University - Pittsburgh.

Welcome to my chemistry class! As you can already see I am a big believer in using technology as an educational tool and for keeping students informed and up-to-date on what is happening in the class. This website will primarily be used for activities, homework, and quizzes/tests.
The typical homework assignment will have a deadline of one week to complete, while quizzes and tests will be primarily given on Fridays at the end of each week. Chemistry I (Blocks 1 and 2) will go to M-13 on testing days, while Chemistry 2 (Block 3) will go to the Media Center on testing days. Most homework assignments you will have multiple chances to complete. For those without internet access at home, please use the Media Center on school grounds or go to the closest public library in Martin County.
If you happen to be absent for a test or score below an 80%, you have the option to retake the test the following Wednesday after school. Accordingly the makeup test will be harder, since it will be given approximately 5 days after the original exam. For students who already took the first test or had an UNEXCUSED absence, a maximum score of 80% will be given for those who retake. Those with an EXCUSED absence can recieve full credit on retake days. Makeup tests will not be given during normal class hours (no exceptions).
I hope you find this website beneficial and for any questions please email at: carl.reagle@gmail.com.
