Greetings! I'm Mrs. Debbie Beran and a Language Arts Teacher on the 6A Team. I'm thrilled to be here at Scott Middle School in my 19th year of teaching. I've had the opportunity to hold different teaching positions in my career with LPS. Aside from the past fourteen years in 6th grade, I've also taught 7th grade English and Reading. My goal is to teach this generation how to be lifelong learners and positive leaders for others.
I am blessed with a wonderful, supportive, and loving husband and three beautiful daughters (Brooke-15, Laney-13, and Piper-10). John and I have been married for 20 years. We enjoy sports (softball mainly), boating, camping, the outdoors, and traveling when we can. Our three daughters certainly keep us busy with their own interests and activities.
My young daughters and husband John keep me laughing everyday. There is never a dull moment in the Beran home. I have many family stories to write about and share with my students, and I enjoy reading and hearing the ones that impact my students' lives.
I'm excited for a great year of learning! :)
