I am beginning my 18th year as a public school teacher and I continue to enjoy researching, exploring, and teaching about American History. The topics of the U.S. Civil War, the Industrial Revolution, Immigration, and our country's ideals surrounding the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection clause. I am also interested in looking at American through the lens of Guilford's 374 years of history including including it's Puritanism, slavery, industries, architecture, leadership in education. In my spare time, I operate the student led "Historic Guilford Walking Tours," I am a board member for the Guilford Free Library, as well as a board member of the Guilford Preservation Alliance. I am the proud father of three adult children and the blessed husband of 35 years to my childhood sweetheart Linda. |
