About me
I have been a teacher for 15 years and love every single minute. My STUDENTS ROCK! I received my undergrad & grad degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, Master Teacher of Economics from Mississippi State University and Mississippi Council of Economics, and AP certification from Milsaps College in Jackson, MS. My AP Gov certification comes from UCLA. Currently, I am attending Ashland University in Ohio and working on a Masters in American History and Government.  In 2012, I was selected as the James Madison scholar teacher for Mississippi. My goal is to be a life-long learner and encourage students to do the same.

                            ASK ME ABOUT YOUTH LEGISLATURE.

                                           http://www.msyag.org/

Do you like meeting new people and having your ideas taken seriously? This is the place for you! We will write original legislation, travel to the State Capitol, and debate our bills to get them passed into "youth law."

Here's a list of previous mock bills that got their start at Youth Legislature:
- reduce the size of the legislature

- tax-exempt weekend for school shopping

- seat belt law

- texting/cell phones while driving

- pitbulls within a certain radius of schools
