I grew up on Long Island and got my first teaching position at Copaigue High School. Met Mr. Leighton in Bermuda and married him 3 years later and we then moved to Virginia Beach where we bought a house. Mr. Leighton is a Merchant Mariner and has sailed all the oceans and seas these past 37 years. I started teaching in Norfolk at Norview Middle School. In 2000 I moved over to teach at the Beach where it is closer to home. We now have a new puppy at home. He's so cute and Wally is taking up all my time. My daughter graduated from PAHS June 2009 and in August went off to High Point University in High Point North Carolina. She graduated in 2013 with a BS in Psychology/Criminal Justice. In fall of 2013 she was hired by LMS to be the permanent substitute here. Its nice to see her every day at work.
