I have been teaching for 22 years, all in DPISD. When I was young, math always scared me. I wanted to be perfect. This caused a great deal of stress for me and my family. As a result, I strive to take the stress out of math and show students the "magic" that permeates throughout the subject. I believe homework should be kept to a minimum, preferably none at all. RELATIONSHIP building is key to reaching all students. If they are afraid of me, they are not going to learn everything they are capable of learning. Don't be afraid to let students see you dance and sing and love life!! |
