Welcome to Chemistry
You have a lot to learn
but you also have a lot of options to help you. Labs are a big part of
chemistry and if you try to learn from them they can go a long way towards
helping you prepare for tests and quizzes as can homework. However if
you just copy or scribble something down to turn them in you will find
yourself completely unprepared for the quizzes and tests. There is a
lot of information that must be mastered and much of it finds its way onto
the TAKS test. This class and the information you learn in it are
necessary for you to graduate. Please take it seriously from the get
go. Chemistry can be a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy the class.
Here is a list of the options you have available to you to help ensure

| Tutorials: There are
Chemistry tutorials Monday thru Friday before school and Monday thru
Thursday after school. If you need help with any homework or with a
lab, any of the Chemistry teachers would be glad to help. Here is the
