Started off in healthcare as a medic working in the industrial setting as well as working special events, worked as an MOA for many years after until I returned to school to complete my nursing. As well as teaching the MOAs and HUCs at Bow Valley College, I am a Cardiac Care nurse at Foothills Medical Centre and occasionally still work as an IV nurse at a clinic I previously worked as an MOA.
As an MOA, I had the opportunity to work with walk-in doctors, family medicine, ENT specialist, lumps and bumps clinics, chiropractors, functional medicine and vasectomy/circumcision clinics giving me a variety of experience. On the unit, I get to keep up my HUC skills by helping out our unit clerks when we are short staffed :) |
