This is my 26th year teaching Spanish in Granville Schools. Nine years ago, after teaching Middle School for 16 years, I took the leap to teach Spanish III, IV, and V AP and am enjoying my ninth year at Granville High School. Six years ago I moved from teaching Spanish III to Spanish II and am now teaching Spanish II, IV an V AP again this year!
In my classes, I enjoy witnessing the process of my students learning to comprehend both spoken & written Spanish and to express themselves in creating stories, sharing and writing in Spanish. As a student in my class, you will be involved in many activities to help you learn - some will be traditional (like taking notes, writing practice activities and doing homework), but some will be more interactive (like viewing videos of authentic Spanish speakers, reading authentic Spanish texts, participating in class discussions & telling stories with your partners en español, as well as doing presentations, working online - (even singing, playing games and dancing ZUMBA and other fun folkloric dances!)
Travel and real-world experiences are what make language study come alive. I can’t wait to share this journey with you! Study hard and you may find yourself in another country surrounded by friends and families speaking español!
