Hello YMS students, parents, and families! Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Krajecki (formerly Ms. Egetimeier). This is my tenth year of teaching science at Yorkville Middle School and my sixth year teaching seventh grade!
In our home, my husband Jon and I have five beautiful children: Katelyn (a junior in high school), Tristan (a freshman in high school), Bella (seventh grade), Chloe (fifth grade), and Jax (second grade). My passions outside of teaching and spending time with my family include taking and editing pictures and watching hockey. Let's go Hawks!
I received my teaching certification and bachelor's degree from North Central College after spending seven years in the horticultural field with Frank's Nursery. Although my degree is in Biology, my background includes a wide variety of science courses ranging from chemistry, physics, and geology to astronomy, ecology, and zoology. This summer, I am thrilled to share that I became a Google Certified Educator: Level 1.
It is an incredibly exciting time to study science with research, innovations, and discoveries in this field constantly being featured in the headlines of social media and front covers of magazines! I actively encourage students to share what they have read or heard. I am excited to meet, teach, learn about, and learn from each of my students and am looking forward to an incredible year!
