My name is Luanne Love and this is my 28th year of teaching. I am currently teaching 5th and 6th grade resource language arts and reading. The resource classes follow the same curriculum and standards as the regular classes, but with more individual and small group attention. Modifications are often made to help these students be successful.

I have several activities listed below that students can choose from to practice skills that we are learning in the classroom. I will be adding to this list as new skills are introduced. My resource students will be having daily oral language tests on Fridays, as well as, other announced reading skill quizzes and tests. Students are asked to b
ring their tracker, pencil, red pen, and paper to class. The resource class will be earning rewards through a point system. They have the opportunity to earn points each day for bringing all materials, participating in class activities, and demonstrating positive behavior.
My 5th grade students tried their best and survived the 5th grade state writing test! I am proud of each of their efforts!
Both 5th and 6th grade students are working hard to prepare for our TCAP testing in April. Students are going to have more homework until the testing time. I know they can do well! Please help them review previously learned skills, as well as, new skills these next few weeks! Remember to encourage your child to read AR for at least 15-20 minutes each night!
