About me
Linda Minor is a graduate in the field of special education from Florida State University with her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of New Orleans.  The daughter of a United States Air Force fighter pilot, Mrs. Minor showed an early interest in aviation, but did not pursue her pilots’ ratings until mid-1980.  She is a commercial pilot with a multi-engine, instrument rating and a certified flight instructor instrument rating.

Mrs. Minor began her teaching career as a special education teacher before becoming a flight instructor.  She left the field of education to join her husband in the home building profession where she was a residential builder, Director of Marketing and Sales and Chief Financial Officer. Before going the Maxwell High School of Technology team, Mrs. Minor was the aviation instructor at Woodville Tompkins Technical & Career High School.  While there she taught the Flight Operations Pathway and coordinated the Work-based Learning program. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Minor was the CTAE Department Head, Emergency Response Team Leader Assistant, SkillsUSA State Officer Advisor, SkillsUSA Flight Operations Advisor, and SkillsUSA Firefighter Advisor. She has served as the teacher mentor for the new Flight Operations Pathway instructors throughout Georgia.  She also served on the state Architecture, Construction, Communication and Transportation Professional Learning Committee.

Mrs. Minor spends hundreds of hours a year volunteering with Civil Air Patrol as the Georgia Wing Director of Aerospace Education. Mrs. Minor has been honored with the titles of Special Education Teacher of the Year for Southwest Georgia; Who’s Who of American Women; TIEGA Carl Perkins Service Award in 2016 and 2017, winner of the Civil Air Patrol Georgia Wing and SE Region Aerospace Education Teacher of the Year, the Aerospace Education Excellence Award, a Top Gun Work-Based Learning Coordinator and an Advisor of Distinction for SkillsUSA.
