Hello. I've worked at St. Martin's since 1985, with a short break (2 Years!) when I helped train teachers and work in the ICT unit at The University College across the road.
I have taught both Y5 and Y6 at St. Martin's, and I retired from full-time teaching in 2004. Since then I have worked part-time at the school as a librarian and technician, as well as doing supply work in the afternoons with classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 to cover teachers' PPA time.
I have many interests, including local history, the early Christian history of Britain, cycling, hill walking, cooking, films, using my computer and reading. I really enjoy the visits we make with Y6 each year to Ravenscar and Northumberland. As you will find out, many of the quizzes and activities you will do are to prepare you for these visits. You will also find activities that will help you learn Latin and French. I hope you enjoy doing them.
