The 2009-2010 school year will be my 8th year of teaching, all of them at Riverwood Middle School. I was born in Houston and grew up in Kingwood. I attended Creekwood Middle School and graduated from Kingwood High School in 1997.
I went on to study History as well as Journalism at Texas A&M University, and graduted in 2001. I obtained my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M in 2003 while completing my first year of teaching and coaching at RMS.
While at Riverwood, I have coached football, basketball and track, and was the newspaper staff advisor for 3 years. I always enjoy a new challenge and am looking forward to what the future brings.
During my time at Texas A&M I met my future wife, Drewann, and we were married in 2006 in Waco, TX. We are expecting our first child, a little boy, on September 22, 2009.
In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, especially Aggie Football, Basketball and Baseball. I am a big History buff and enjoy travelling to historic sites in and out of Texas as well as reading new books on Texas and U.S. History.
When we get a chance to leave town, we generally head to the Texas Hill Country where we spend time on Drewann's family ranch that has been in the family for over 150 years.
