I have been teaching Science in Enfield for 23 years. Prior to arriving here, I taught middle school Math and Science in Springfield for a dozen years, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso (West Africa), and worked at John Hancock in Boston for a few years. My academic background includes a B.A. in History from Clark University, a B.S in General Science as well as a M.S. in Reading from Westfield State College. I completed the San Francisco Exploratorium Summer Institute for Middle School Science during the summer of 2017.

We are introducing the Next Generation Science Standards in the 7th and 8th grade curriculum. These standards are guiding the students all the way through grade 12.
Middle school science includes an exciting and challenging series of projects built around key science concepts. Fun, messy, hands-on, and minds-on exercises in Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science will be used to help your child understand these ideas.
