Business Major with 20 plus years experience in the "Business World". I specialized in Communications and worked for Fortune 100 companies such as GTE, GTE Wireless, Airtouch, and Verizon Wireless. On the start-up side of the business, I managed two companies from start-up to 250 million in annual revenue. I left the corporate and start-up business to give back what was provided to me - mentoring. I began with Clay County Schools coaching and teaching for 8 years and loved it. It was a great place to work as the Administration and Faculty were awesome. During the 2014 school year, I taught business, computer science, and coached at Hiwassee Dam High School. Another excellent school with super administration, teachers, staff and students. In 2016, I extended my teaching journey to Union County High School in Blairsville, Georgia where I began building a Computer Science program. I have been fortunate to have an opportunity to teach at excellent schools. I graduated from Union County HS, so I am happy to be back teaching young people about a passion of mine - "Digital Everything". From the Internet of Things (IoT), Programming, Gaming, Networking, Cybersecurity, to Social Media and Digital Marketing with Web Development and Design. It is ever changing and exciting. Since inception of the Computer Science program, we now offer Computer Science Principles, Web Development, Introduction to Digital Technology (IST & IHT moving forward), Introduction to Cybersecurity, Advanced Cybersecurity and Programming, Games, Apps & Society. |
