Mr. Lipman is a retired trial attorney from New York City. His courses include AP/Dual Credit US History, AP American Government & Politics, AP Macro Economics, Government and Economics. In addition to teaching at Highlands he is also a college professor and a consultant for College Board in the subjects of APUS History and AP American Government. He continues to be a national mentor for teachers in College Board's APUS History and Government programs and a peer consultant in College Board's AP American Government program. He is a past winner of College Board's National Teacher of the Year award and the Sloan Award for teaching economics by the Council for Economic Education. In 2021 he was the Highlands High School teacher of the year and the Distinguished Teacher of the year for SAISD as well as a region 20 finalist for Texas teacher of the year.
