About me |
For the last 20 years I have taught a variety of subjects here at Notre Dame High School in Riverside, CA, including world history, morality, comparative religions, speech, choral music, and word processing. I also had the great pleasure of directing the school liturgy for our Masses for 18 of the last 20 years. My elementary years were spent in a suburb of Minneapolis where I learned to play piano and sing. From there my family moved to the Chicago northwest suburbs where I attended junior high and high school. My freshman year in college was at Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI. Then my family moved to Southern California where I attended RCC for one year, after which I transferred to UC Riverside. I majored in history, with several units in comparative literature. Before teaching, I worked for Sears (4 years) and the Riv. Co. Dept. of Public Social Services for 18 years. Since then I have worked on masters units in religious studies at Mount St. Mary's College in LA and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend (Go, Irish!), and on-line classes in Educational Design and Technology at National University. I have two daughters, Rebecca and Siouxsie, and three grandchildren. Rebecca, along with three of my sisters are also teachers. My parish is St. Andrew Newman Center in Riverside, where I am a member of the Parish Council. In addition, I am a member of the Dominican Laity Chapter that is affiliated with the Newman Center. |

Welcome to students, parents, and academic friends, especially the juniors of the Class of 2011!
It is an honor and a pleasure to teach here at Notre Dame. This on-line web page stuff is still very new to me, but I hope this site will provide you with the additional information you need to have a successful 2009-2010 academic year.
Class syllabuses are available on this site, plus class notes, web links, and study aids. Grades will still be done on Zangle, so contact the school office to set up a Parent-Connect account to access your grades.
Please feel free to contact me either through this web page or through the school internet site, .
