I've been teaching in the Portland (Maine) Public Schools for over two decades. Presenty, I teach at Portland High School which is noted for being the second oldest public high school in the United States. In addition, we are the most diverse high school north of New York City with over 35 languages spoken. PHS also has an amazing Latin program with over 200 hundred students enrolled in levels I through AP. My colleague, Magistra Tucci can be credited with building this program to olympic proportions. We also teach at St. Joseph's College of Maine in the Classics Department.
In my other life, I am a classical organist and am a past dean of the Portland, Maine chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
