About me |
Hey, students of Mrs. Delebo! Guess what? The 2013-14 school year marks my 37th year of teaching English! I've been employed by Lakeville Schools for 35 of those 37 years. This is my ninth year at South, and this year I teach two classes of 9th grade Honors English and one class of English 11. My home life is an active one: my husband, two boys (Ross, 22, a recent graduate of St. John's University, newly employed and living in his first apartment!; Jack, 20, a junior at SJU), and three cocker spaniels (Frosty, Samson, and Delilah) keep me busy, as do leisure activities. I love to read (I'm in a book club with a bunch of English and social studies teachers from both South and North...imagine a group of your teachers trying to sound smart about literature!); I often visit my cabin near Luck, Wisconsin; I enjoy church choir; I'm a political junkie and a Facebook addict; I enjoy walking/biking along Minnehaha Parkway in South Minneapolis where we live. I love the city: restaurants, museums, the Guthrie, other live theater and music...everything that urban life has to offer. But mostly, I love literature, love students, love my teaching job! See you in the classroom. ---Mrs. D. |
