Kapitel 3: Three forms of "you"

Use "du" for a single friend, family member or person you are casual/comfortable with.
Use "ihr" when there are several people you would say "du" to.
Use "Sie" for people you don't know, people older than you, in official and formal settings and in general, just to be safe.
