Life as a companion parrot is very different from the lives of parrots in the wild. Parrots are still considered to be wild animals, with the exception perhaps of Budgerigars, Lovebirds and Cockatiels that have been bred in captivity for decades. Providing your parrot with an active physical and mental environment and appropriate foraging, bathing and sleep time will help to insure a successful and interactive parrot/human relationship.
