Food and Nutrition
Information about how we feed our parrots has changed dramatically as we have more scientific data on parrots' nutritional needs. Historically parrot nutritional studies were based on poultry. Since the way our food is produced, gathered, shipped and stored, nutritional content may vary greatly depending on these factors and this affects our parrots as well as us. We recommend that no canned food products be used with the exception of canned pumpkin. Many high quality and organic fruits and vegetables can be found in the frozen food section of your grocer or health food store. Check all labels for added salt or sugar, and stay away from products with those additives.
