Inform your Facilitator when you are ready, and make sure he know you are allowed to use textbook and notes. Choose one of the Legendary Heroes OR Mythological Characters OR Major Achievement of the Ancient Romans OR Cultural Aspect of Ancient Rome that we have encountered in the course of our Latin I studies, such as "The Family," "Travel," "Holiday Celebration," "Aqueducts." Then write a well-developed essay comparing/contrasting the topic you selected from the choices given above. Remember to begin with a clearly focused Topic Sentece/Paragraph. Use accurate details from both ancient Roman and Modern American cultures. You will be allowed to bring in notes and refer to your textbook for this section only. You must turn in your notes with with your essay. The accurate use of Latin terms is encouraged. Take care to have a strong conclusion that pulls all your ideas together at the end. Allow 20-30 minutes in class as soon as your facilitator tells you to begin to produce about 15 sentences, 100-200 words.. Write legibly and label your work. Take time to "proof" your work for spelling, grammar, and logic.
