One day a little Chinese boy of eight, named Wenkung, was playing with his brother Venyao in a garden. Suddenly Venyao fell into a big jar full of water. Wenkung tried to pull his brother out, but found that he was neither tall enough nor strong enough. So he picked up a stone and broke the jar. The water flowed out and his brother was saved. As you might guess, Wenkung later became a great man.
