Nomenclature Practice
In this quiz, you will be asked to write chemical formulas from names and write names from formulas for hydrocarbons, binary covalent, binary ionic, and ternary ionic compounds. Please be aware that subscripts are not used, so the numbers should be typed directly after the element symbol. For example: H2SO4. Make sure to use parentheses and Roman numerals when appropriate. Also - SPELLING DOES COUNT. If you have the incorrect spelling, it will be marked incorrect. Make sure you use your periodic table to help you spell the element correctly. Make sure you have the polyatomic ions memorized. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
