Regents readiness
You will be taking the mock Living Environment Regents exam. We will be doing it for two reasons. • We want you to get familiar with the exam so that when you actually take the test, you will be more comfortable • We want to see how much you learn by comparing your first score to your second mock regents score and see what our students still don’t understand and change our teaching so that our students do better! When you take the mock exam, please understand that we do NOT expect you to know about all the topics because you haven’t learned some of it. What we want you to do is answer all the questions using your knowledge and your best guess. Use the strategies you learned from last year to help you answer difficult questions. THINGS TO REMEMBER: Answering every question • You must answer every question on every part of the Regents Exam The Answer Sheet • All questions from sections A and B-1 should be answered on the answer sheet that you tear out. The remaining questions should be answered in the test booklet. Pens and Pencils • All questions must be answered in pen, except for the scantron, graphs and drawings that you make. Make sure to bring both pens and pencils on test day. Signing the Exam • Your exam cannot be graded unless you sign the back. This is your promise that you have not cheated. →You can underline keywords, write ideas, or circle questions in pencil. By the end of this year, I still don’t expect all my students to know EVERYTHING I taught them so I don’t expect a 100 on the Regents Exam (although I would love to see that!) so using these strategies now will still be helpful in June.
