Supporting Learning Target 1.2 (spLT 1.2): I can use correct order of operations.
What is the order of operations? PEMDAS
P: Parentheses
E: Exponents
MD: Multiplication and Division (left to right)
AS: Addition and Subtraction (left to right)
PEMDAS: Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally
PEMDAS: Party every Monday during algebra studies
PEMDAS: Pigs eat mud, dig, and squeal
I think you get the point :)
Use your notebook to keep track as you do these problems. Using a calculator is fine, because using PEMDAS correctly is the only way to get the problems correct.
