FM 5.03 Keystoning
Markup refers to the difference between retail price and cost price. Markup serves as a guide in pricing merchandise and in providing the desired profit for the business. A common way to determine markup is to use keystoning, (keystone markup), whereby one doubles the cost paid by the retailer for the fashion item. Example: (Cost = $37.50), (KMU= 2 X $37.50) = (RP $75.00) Directions: Find the keystone markup amount and calculate the retail price in the following problems.
