Lesson 6 - How to Make a Cat Bed

Most cats will sleep almost anywhere. They will curl up on your favorite chair, on a pile of newspapers, or even in your laundry basket. However, if you would like to make a special bed for your cat, you will find it easy to do.

First, you need to find a good base for the bed. A cardboard box or wicker basket will work best. Next, fill the bed with soft cloth. Use old towels or a pillow that you don't use anymore. Then, add cat toys, catnip, and other things your cat likes. Most cats really like things that smell like their owners. An old shirt will work well.

Finally, find a good place for your cat's bed. Most cats prefer to be in high places. Mount the bed on a crate or another kind of stand.

Show the bed to your cat. Don't be disappointed if the cat doesn't use the bed at first. The cat may need to get used to the new bed before it decides to sleep there.
