SOL Test Prep--DIRECT WRITING PROMPTS

The following writing prompts are similar to those students may encounter on the direct writing section of the SOL/Henrico Assessment tests. Some of them are released test items from previous SOL tests. Students are encouraged to practice answering the questions while keeping in mind the three domains in which they will be scored: COMPOSING, WRITTEN EXPRESSION, and USAGE/MECHANICS.
