Annie's New Room

Annie looked around her new room in her family's new home. It didn't look exactly like her old room, but some of it was the same. For one thing, the walls were painted green like in her old room. Her mom had wanted to paint them blue. Annie didn't want a new bedspread either. So her mom washed the old blue striped quilt and put it back on her bed. The green walls and old quilt made Annie feel more at home.

The new room did have more space. Annie was now able to hang her extra posters on the walls. She also had a new desk. It was between the two large windows on the long wall. Annie's old room had one small window that looked out over trash cans in the back alley. From her new room, Annie could watch cars and people on the street. She could even see a park where kids her age were playing kickball.
