Student Feedback to Our Reagan Challenger Speech ORs

We've written our open responses to Reagan's speech on the Challenger shuttle explosion. Read the examples provided by the State of Massachusetts as a representative 4, 3, 2, and 1 (presented here in that order!) on this same topic, too.

Remember, this is a reading test, and scorers have been instructed not to focus on spelling, grammar and punctuation. Instead, they are looking for evidence of strong reading skills, revealed through a discussion of points and specific (not general) details that answer the question (they are relevant).

To prepare for a peer reading in class, paste your essay into the field. Using the computers in class, they will sit down at different desks and score three or four essays -- based on being aware and "calibrated" to these state examples of a 4, 3, 2, and 1. Before submitting this activity, these scores will be tallied up and averaged; that number will be put in the last field, and I will compare that score to my score.
