Exponent Rules & Scientific Notation
x^2 equals x-squared and (2(x^2)y)^2 means everything inside the parentheses gets squared. x^(-2) means x to the power of negative 2, and x^(-2) = 1/(x^2). (/ = "divided by" and x = "times)
