This tense requires the helping verb "estar" in the present tense and the present participle of the verb:
1.Conjugate “estar” to the subject
Yo estoy

2. Add the present participle of the verb.
-If the verb ends in –ar, drop the –ar from the verb and add –ando.
-If the verb ends in –er, -ir, drop the –er, -ir from the verb and add -iendo.
hablar: hablando (-ar)
comer: comiendo (-er)
vivir: viviendo (-ir)
If an the stem of an -er, -ir verb ends in a vowel, the ending is yendo. Example: leer-leyendo, traer-trayendo, creer-creyendo
Hablar (yo) – estoy hablando
Comer (tú) - estás comiendo
Vivir (él) - está viviendo
Leer (yo) – estoy leyendo
Ver (yo)-estoy viendo
