All Parts of Speech -- How are these capitalized words used in these following sentences?

Nouns: people, places, things, and ideas (emotions, concepts)

Pronouns substitute for nouns.

Adjectives are descriptive words, and answer these questions: what kind, which one, how many, and whose.

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs, and answer these questions: how, when, where, to what degree, and why.

Conjunctions join words, phrases, and clauses. They can coordinate equal parts. Coordinating conjunctions are often referred to by the acronym "FANBOYS" meaning "for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so."

Conjunctions can also subordinate (make one clause dependent/subordinate and the other independent/main). Subordinating conjunctions can be: before, as, after, when, while, since, once, until, unless, if, because.

Prepositions begin prepositional phrase. Prepositions start relationships, often in space (position) or time, between two nouns. Ex: The car (IN the driveway) was not new. The nouns "car" and "driveway" are related spatially by the preposition "in." We often use parentheses to identify prepositional phrases.
