Parts of Speech -- Varied Endings

Words can take on different endings as they are used as different parts of speech. For example, the word "visible" which is an adjective, becomes an adverb when -LY is added to form "visibly." The word becomes an abstract noun when it is changed to "visibility." Common noun versions are "vision" or "visionary."

(abstract noun) The visibility was reduced in the pelting rain.
(adjective) From where I'm standing, the moon is visible.
(adverb) The spectators were visibly excited by turn of events in the soccer game.
(common noun) The vision that Steve Jobs showed the world will long be remembered.
(common noun) He was clearly a visionary in creating so many clever technological devices that people wanted to own.
