Sport of Reading - Pink 05

There was a man who had his hundredth birthday and then some. At age 100, he said that the reason he had lived so long was that he was a cross-country skier. He believes that cross-country skiing is a sport that a person can do at any age.

This old skier lives in the mountains in Canada. He enjoys his sport very much. Over the years, he has trained and GUIDED many young people in cross-country skiing. He knows many of the snowy ski trails that cut across the mountains in his area.

This skier is called "Jackrabbit" by his friends. Perhaps they are thinking of how quickly he gets across the snow from one place to another.

Age has not stopped this man from continuing to ski cross-country. Jackrabbit may be a few years older and, stay young and keep his health through skiing. By the time you read this, Jackrabbit may be a ew years older and, hopefully, still skiing.
