Figurative Language is something writers use to create vivid descriptions. 4 Types are Similes, Metaphors, Personification, and Hyperbole. Simile- Statement that compares 2 things using like or as. Metaphor- Statement comparing things by saying one thing is the other. Personification- Statement that gives human traits or characteristics to nonliving things. Hyperbole- Statement of exaggeration
