SPANISH 3 Listening and speaking proficiency assessment 3B

*Begin this assessment only after you have done a test recording of your voice to ensure that your headset is working and is recording your voice as a digital audio file on the computer.

You will have 6 minutes to complete this assessment. However, you should try to respond promptly and complete it as quickly as you can. The quicker you are, the higher your score.

IMPORTANT: READ THIS BEFORE STARTING THE ASSESSMENT. Follow these steps in order.

1. When you are ready to begin, open VOICE RECORDER and begin recording. *Important: Do not stop recording until after you have finished the entire assessment.

2. Start the assessment by entering your USERNAME and PASSWORD. You may only do the assessment ONCE, so do not stop and try to start over - you will be blocked and you will be disqualified.

3. Click "play audio." Listen to the prompt and respond/answer the question. *It is possible to repeat any of the prompts but keep in mind that this is a timed test. You will receive zero credit for prompts that you do not respond to/answer because you ran out of time.

4. After listening and responding, click SUBMIT ANSWER to move on to the next prompt. Click "play audio." Listen to the next the prompt and respond/answer the question, then click SUBMIT ANSWER to move on to the next prompt. Repeat until you have finished the assessment.

5. When you have finished, stop recording and save the audio file first to your desktop with file name: your first & last name. Then save a copy to Ahlstrom's folder (erahlstrom) in the ROS_Staffhome file.

You will have two opportunities to do this assessment. You will listen to both of your performances and self-assess using the rubric you received in class. You will pick what you believe to be your best performance and you will submit it to me as final evidence.
