Italian Placement Exam
Please be advised that this placement exam will be used only to ascertain your current knowledge of Italian. The exam will enable us to better place you in the Italian class that best fits your skill level. You will not receive a grade for this exam.
This exam must be taken without aid from others or from a dictionary. It is to your benefit to have this test be an accurate reflection of your skill with Italian. You can take this test only once.
This exam is timed. You are given 120 minutes. The average time to complete this exam is 90 MINUTES. Exams taken in less than 20 minutes will be considered invalid. You can take this test only once. Do not start it until you can set aside at least 90 minutes for it.
This Placement Test has four parts:
I. Section 1: Vocabulary and Italian Functional Knowledge (44 questions)
II. Section 2: Grammar (84 questions)
III. Section 3: Listening Comprehension (24 questions)
IV. Section 4: Reading Comprehension (18 questions)
After you submit the test and click on 'Done,' print out the page showing your name and score!
