Form the plurals of the following words using these rules:
8. The plurals of some nouns are formed in irregular ways. Example: woman = women

9. For most compound nouns written as one word, form the plural by adding -s or -es. the element within the compound that word that is pluralized will receive the plural -s, but it's not always that simple. Example: grandmothers, cupfuls

10. For compound nouns in which one word is modified by the other word or words, form the plural of the word modified. Example: footrests (rests is modified by foot), brothers-in-law (brothers is modified by in-law).
