’s เป็นตัวย่อของ V.to be “is” (’s = is) ในกรณีที่
1. เป็น กริยาหลัก แปลว่า เป็น อยู่ คือ เช่น She’s my best friend.
2. เป็น กริยาช่วย หน้า adjective คำคุณสมบัติ เช่น She’s beautiful.
3. เป็นกริยาช่วยหน้า V.ing (Present Continuous) She’s teaching.
4. เป็นกริยาช่วยหน้า V.3 (Passive Voice = ถูกกระทำ) Her finger’s broken.
