Unit 1: Scientific Notation HW

READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY! There are two types of problems on this homework. For one, you will be converting numbers to and from scientific notation and standard notation. For the other type you will perform operations with scientific notation by following the rules shown in class. All answers (except for standard notation problems) should be left in PROPER scientific notation, and should be entered in the following format: You will type in the coefficient, type in an "x", type in the base (10), type in a carrot symbol (^), and then type in the exponent. Use a minus sign before the exponent if it is negative. Example: 5.1x10^3 or 2.3x10^-5 If you do not use this format, your answer may be marked as wrong since the system will not be able to read it.
