Thesis Statements, Topic Sentences and Supporting Ideas

These 25 questions are divided into five groups, representing five different subject areas. The subjects include Princess Diana (1-5), the Shroud of Turin (6-10), the Dionne Quintuplets (11-15), Osama bin Laden (16-20), and "In Cold Blood" (21-25).

With each sentence under the five subject areas, you will be asked to identify if it is a thesis, topic or supporting sentence. The feedback under each response will give you guidance as to how a full essay would be constructed for each subject area.
