past participles and adjectives (New grammar - notes below)

*use estar in the present or the imperfect
* make sure the entire sentence AGREES
* think of the verb and form it into an adj
* if the verb is reflexive, drop the <SE> to form the adj.
Example
>The children are asleep. Los niños están dormidos.
-Notice how dormido is now an adjective and has to agree with niños? (pl)
>The window is open
La ventana está abierta.
-Notice that abierta now ends in a <a> because in this case it is an ADJ and it has to agree.
