Subjects and Predicates Quiz
A SUBJECT names the person, place, thing, or idea the sentence is about. A PREDICATE tells something about the subject; it is the verb part of the sentence. A COMPOUND SUBJECT is two or more subjects/nouns in one sentence that have the same verb and are joined by a conjunction. A COMPOUND VERB is two or more verbs (including their HELPING VERBS) in one sentence that have the same subject and and are joined by a conjunction.
