Definite articles--le la l'--the words for "the" in French.

Fill in the blank with the correct definite article--le, la or les. Then translate the expressions.

Remember, we learned that we use le if the noun is masculine, la if it is feminine, and l' when the noun begins with a vowel. For a review of this, read page 26.

On p. 46 in your text, there is a vocab list.
If the noun has un, use le or l'.
If the noun has une, use la or l'.
